7:30 AM Depart for Ohio. Upon arrival check in to your hotel for the next two nights. The Comfort Inn and Suites in Hartville - 953 Edison St NW, Hartville, OH 44632 Phone: (330) 587-4347. The location is within walking distance to the Hartville Kitchen—famous for home-style Mennonite cooking and baking—as well as the famous Hartville Marketplace & Flea Market and Hartville Hardware, the largest home improvement store in the country.
2:45 pm – Meet your guide and head over to the world’s largest Hartville Hardware Store…..don’t worry ladies this is incredible there is even a1865 sq. ft. home built inside along with home décor, garden, arts, crafts and so much more. Truly a treasure, but if you don’t want to visit then head to one of the largest flea markets in the United States….offering two floors of treasures. NOTE: This is not your typical flea market…there are boutiques and shops that offer very upscale items. Over 800 vendors!!!
4:30 pm - Head to MAPS air museum with your guide. Enjoy an all-American Buffet Dinner surrounded by 40 different aircrafts such as the 1908 Martin Glider to a supersonic F-14 Tomcat. A B-26 Martin Marauder, one of only seven known bombers left in the world. A Pearl Harbor Memorial featuring a piece of the Battleship Arizona. After a wonderful meal guests will enjoy a visit by "General Dwight D. Eisenhower"! Go back to the days of WWII as he commanded the victorious European forces and won the 1952 election by a landslide victory with the irresistible slogan “I Like Ike! Private touring following dinner. This facility houses exhibits impacting aviation on the culture of man. The collection offers vintage US and foreign military, and civilian aircraft, many of which it preserves and rebuilds at that location. These volunteers have restored more than three-dozen vintage airplanes, among them a 1909 glider built by a local farm, and pulled by his plow horse, a B26 World War II bomber and modern jet fighters. Its Gallery of Heroes is a large exhibit of uniforms, weapons, medals and more from several wars. This is real history, not a textbook. You’ll also enjoy the gift shop full of aviation items. Return to the hotel for a relaxing evening.
6:30 am until departure enjoy breakfast included at the hotel. 9:00 am – Departure with your tour guide for the day.
10:00 am – Rock and Roll Hall of Fame – Tour the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame - Like the music we celebrate, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is alive with the energy, passion and spirit of music…Get READY TO ROCK in this 150,000 square-foot museum featuring seven floors, five theaters for films, and ever-changing exhibits. Guests will see the largest Elvis collection…. outside of Graceland. Experience the largest Beatles collection, anywhere, view many pieces of Michael Jackson’s stage wardrobe, including his sequined glove display. Guests can listen to hundreds of tunes from the 1920’s to the 2000’s …Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll. There is a great gift shop and snack area on the 3rd level serves light meals and refreshments for your convenience.
12:15 pm – Departure for lunch at Music Box – Rock on the River Lunch. Music Box Supper Club opened in the early fall of 2014 on the West Bank of the flats in downtown Cleveland. This iconic building once housed Club Coconuts. Not only is Music Box a unique two-story concert venue, and restaurant, but it is also the perfect place to take pictures offering waterfront views, a rooftop deck overlooking downtown. Throughout lunch guests will enjoy a wide selection of OLDIES MUSIC from Late 50’s to the Best of the 60’s. “That alright mama”, you can get your groove on while you “Stand by Me” before you “Hit the Road Jack” or go “Rolling on the River”…but you will feel the “Good Vibration” and “I want to hold your hand” because we will enjoy being “Happy Together” and dancing or tapping our feet!!
1:45 pm – Departure with tour guide for a city tour of Cleveland. Cleveland is alive with new destinations mixed with old time charm. View the history of the Soldier’s and Sailor’s Monument and the classic buildings of Daniel Burnham’s 1903 Group Plan, followed by re-purposed buildings: a department store is now a casino and a bank is now a grocery store.
3:00 pm – Guests will enjoy a stop in little Italy for an afternoon bakery treat. In Little Italy, the main strip Mayfield Road is full of old-school Italian cafes, bakeries and pizzerias, as well as elegant trattorias where singers perform opera arias. Indie art galleries and Italian food and wine shops are also dotted around the area. Colorful murals depict the stories of Italian immigrants which your guide will point out.
4:00 pm – Return to the hotel with a song in your heart or your head. Enjoy a little time to freshen up.
6:00 pm – Departure and head next to the property for dinner at Hartville Kitchen with an EVENING WITH ELVIS. Dinner will be served family style. During dessert this evening guests will enjoy an Elvis impersonator as he serenades you with SONGS that made ELVIS a household name. Unlike many other Elvis impersonators Michael Brindley is a Tribute artist who can tastefully recreate all eras of Elvis' career, from the 50's rock and roll Elvis to the 70's Vegas superstar. Michael’s performance will leave you amazed and wanting more!
8:30 pm – Return to the hotel.
6:30 am until departure enjoy breakfast included at the hotel. Today is a day of remembering, laughing and enjoying!!! HO! HO! HO!
9:30 am Arrival to Castle Noel is America’s Largest Christmas entertainment attraction! During your guided tour, guests will explore their many attractions such as ‘I Had That’ in their Toyland Experience, which has toys from every generation; NYC Christmas Windowland that has real NYC Christmas window displays from Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s and more. The magic of Hollywood is merged with the miracle of Christmas with ‘Hollywood Movieland’ - the world’s largest, privately-owned collection of Hollywood Christmas movie props & costumes used in Elf, Grinch, Turboman, Santa Claus 1, 2 and 3 and many more. Experience flying with Santa in the simulator ride. Go through Santa’s Squeeze and find out how Santa feels going down a chimney. PLUS, the most spectacular feature of this museum is Santa Claus Mountain, the castle's two-story high structure that is an exact replica of the Santa summit and slide seen in the classic movie, A Christmas Story. This tour is wheelchair-accessible. There are 20 steps in the building, with an elevator in the planning stages.
11:45 pm- Enjoy lunch at nearby Miss Molly's Tea House, a lavishly decorated Tea Room and Gift Shop in downtown. The Victorian decor takes you back in time to a gentler, more relaxing period in our country's history, all the better to enjoy your tea. Enjoy Chicken Salad in a Puff Shell, with a Strawberry Pretzel salad, lemon tea bread, seasonal dessert and beverage.
1:00 pm – Departure for home with rest and dinner stop en route on own.
