8:30 AM Depart for Beafort SC - Located on Port Royal Island, one of the largest Sea Islands on the southeast Atlantic Coast, Beaufort is on the Beaufort River that feeds into Port Royal Sound and the Atlantic Ocean. This quaint historic town will be your hub for this adventure!

Today we’ll visit Lady’s Island Oyster for an Oyster Experience! Learn about how important oysters are to the eco-system and enjoy a tasting. Enjoy lunch on your own and free time to shop at the unique and independent boutiques, artisan shops, and restaurants in downtown Beaufort. Next we’ll take a Southern Rose Horse Drawn Carriage Ride and learn about Beaufort’s history.
Check into the Beaufort Best Western Sea Island Inn.

This afternoon, arrive at the Kazoo Factory Museum for a tour, then continue your adventure at the Rotten Little Bastard Distillery, for dinner.

Tuesday, 10/29/24

8:30 AM Depart for the Savannah Visitor Center, where you will board a Trolley for a 90-minute Tour of Savannah, See the extraordinary architecture, lush botanicals and hear the captivating stories of Savannah. Next, tour the Davenport House Museum. You may have lunch ‘on your own’ at Savannah’s famous Riverwalk. Housed in one-time cotton warehouses, there are more than 75 boutiques, galleries, artists' studios, restaurants and pubs. Next up arrive at Wormsloe Historic Site, once the colonial estate of carpenter Noble Jones. Tonight enjoy an included dinner at The Pirate House, Savannah’s World-Famous restaurant, located on one of the most historic spots in Georgia. It was first opened in 1753 as an inn for seafarers.

Wednesday, 10/30/24

9:30 AM Arrive at Coastal Expeditions dock in Beaufort for your River Dolphin History Cruise. As we cruise along the waterfront, the captain shares stories about local history. You are likely to see the Bottlenose Dolphins at play here.

Next, arrive on St Helena Island at the Gullah Geechee Visitors Center. Here you’ll feast on an authentic Low Country Shrimp Boil, while you hear the "Tales from the Land of Gullah" from a local storyteller and historical interpreter. Next, visit Darrah Hall, this is the oldest building on the campus of the Penn Center. A SC Historical Legacy and An American Cultural Treasure. Tucked in the heart of SC Sea Islands surrounded by glimmering marshes and nestled beneath the silvery moss-draped limbs of massive live Oaks, it is on one of the most beautiful and historically distinct of the SC Sea Islands, and at the heart of the Gullah culture. Next experience a guided tour of Ft. Freemont, a former military installation. The fort and battery are historically significant as an example of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century miliary architecture. Next you are off to MacDonald’s Marketplace for an included wine tasting and one-of-a-kind Low Country shopping.  

Return to the hotel and enjoy free time in Beaufort with dinner on own this evening.

Thursday, 10/31/24

Enjoy included breakfast at hotel before departing for Tybee Island.

Featuring a still-functioning 18th-century lighthouse that has been rebuilt many times. Tybee Island Light Station is a complete light station whose history dates back to 1736. The tower stands 145 feet tall and has three Light Keeper's Cottages nearby. A small 1812 Summer Kitchen holds archaeological finds. Across the street is an 1899 Military Battery that houses the Tybee Island Museum. Exhibits cover the time of the Euchee tribe, the history of Fort Screven, Tybee's Golden Era and more.

Later, we’ll visit Savannah and enjoy a Golfcart Tour of Bonaventure Cemetery. This has been a world-famous tourist destination for over 150 years. Sit back and relax while your tour guide shares the history, landscape and points of interest. Visit to the Prohibition Museum with an included drink and time for lunch on your own in the City market.

Tonight enjoy included dinner at Fish Camp Restaurant.

Friday, 11/1/24

Prior to checking out, enjoy breakfast included at your hotel.

Depart for Richmond.

Stop at Buc-ee’s. Originating in Texas, Florence has the first Buc-ee’s location in SC. Listed as the largest convenience store in the country Buc-ee’s is a sight to see. Always fresh brisket. Enjoy lunch on your own while there.

5:00 PM Arrive and check-in to the Drury Plaza Hotel Richmond.    

5:30-7PM Enjoy a Drury Kickback Dinner Reception at the hotel included this evening. Enjoy free cocktails, wine, and spirits, plus delicious food items served buffet-style which rotate daily.
