Day 1

6:00AM Depart Sam’s Club, Mechanicsburg 6:30AM Depart Weis Markets, Linglestown RD, Harrisburg. Meal / Rest stops en route. Arrive in Tarrytown, NY and enjoy some free time in the quaint downtown and grab a bite for lunch before our tour of Sleepy Hollow, afterwards, depart for our hotel, check in and freshen up before we depart for dinner. After dinner we’ll see the BLAZE Festival - Meander through an historic, 18th century riverside landscape and discover a breathtaking display. The Great Jack O' Lantern Blaze is a fall spectacle integrating thousands of hand-carved jack o’lanterns — everything from your standard Jack to extremely elaborate abstract designs — lit up throughout the landscape of Van Cortlandt Manor in Croton-on-Hudson, N.Y., in various arrangements — thematic, conceptual, and otherwise. While this event pays tribute to Halloween and Sleepy Hollow Country, Blaze transcends its Halloween roots with over 7,000 carved Jack O’Lanterns. (D)

Day 2

After Breakfast, we’ll check out and depart for Salem. Arrive in Salem about lunch time and enjoy free time this afternoon evening to explore Salem and grab a bite to eat. You can visit one of many museums, watch the living history they play out on the square each night in October, sit at a local café and enjoy some great people watching! 9:00 PM Check into your Boston area hotel. Day 3

Breakfast included this morning. This morning take the AMTRAK Downeaster to Maine. Meet your guide in Maine and take a narrated driving tour of the coastal villages of Kennebunk & Kennebunkport. Drive past the sandy beaches and rocky coastline, past the George Bush estate at Walker’s Point and many other sites and have lunch on your own at Dock Square in Kennebunkport. This afternoon your guide will take you to Perkins Cove, where you’ll find the start of the Marginal Way Shoreline Walking Path with benches to sit and watch the surf, a pretty drawbridge, boutiques and bobbing lobster boats. Check-in at your hotel. A Classic downeast lobster bake dinner with sing-a-long entertainment, is in store for you tonight! You’ll feast on your choice of Maine boiled lobster or barbecued chicken, plus chowder, cultivated mussels, corn on the cob, Maine potatoes and blueberry cake. Meal counts required 3 days prior. Day 4

Breakfast at your leisure at the hotel. Travel to New Hampshire. Arrive at the Cog Railway and start with a Soup & Sandwich lunch. There will be time for the gift shop too. Travel on the Cog Railway for a three-hour round-trip ride. “Enjoy a Scenic Train Ride to the Summit of Mount Washington, the Northeast`s Highest Peak! Late afternoon check-in at your New Hampshire hotel. Dinner is included this evening at the hotel or a local restaurant. (B,L,D)

Day 5

Breakfast included this morning. Meet your guide at the hotel and depart for Lake Winnipesauke. Board the MS MOUNT WASHINGTON lake cruise to Winnipesauke and enjoy a scenic one–way ride on Lake Winnipesauke. Your journey on the ship brings you to the port of Wolfeboro, The Oldest Summer Resort in America. Free time for lunch and shopping in the delightful lakeside resort town of Wolfeboro. After lunch tour the Wright Museum - a museum about the World War II years with both war exhibits such as aircraft and tanks, and exhibits from everyday life. Arrive at the Meredith Station for boarding. Enjoy a two-hour trip on the Winnipesaukee Scenic railroad along Lake Winnipesauke. Ride the rails while eating Harts hot roast turkey carved at your table with all the trimmings! Return to the hotel. (B,D)

Day 6

Breakfast at the hotel at your leisure. Today you will travel to the Berkshires via Vermont. Luncheon served at the Publyk House. Visit Hemmings Automobilla along the way. Visit our Car Lover's store, cafe and old-fashioned Sunoco Station where you'll see first-hand our huge collection of automotive items: over 150 unique reproduction porcelain signs, dozens of die-cast models, pedal cars, auto artwork and more. Tour our Vehicle Display and see 25 of our collector vehicles and our automobilia collection. Check out Hemmings Products and enjoy a great cappuccino and fresh pastry. Visit Bennington Apple Barn. A narrated bus ride to the top of a 300-acre Apple Orchard to view the most spectacular scenery of Southern Vermont. During your educational Tour, a brief history of the orchard and area will be given. The bus will be able to stop at a prime location in the orchard for pictures. Upon returning to The Apple Barn & Country Bake Shop your group will experience a beautiful all wooden Country Market with all the wonderful aromas and goodies of a Homemade Country Bake Shop. Apple pie a la mode is included for everyone! Travel to dinner in the Berkshires. Dinner at a local restaurant located on the site of the former Alice’s Restaurant known from the famous Thanksgiving song by Arlo Guthrie. The Inn is set on a hilltop directly across from Tanglewood. Elegant atmosphere, fine dining and excellent service are all hallmarks of this fine establishment. Check-in at your Berkshire hotel after dinner. (B,L,D)

Day 7

Meet your local guide at the Red Lion Inn for a Fall Foliage Leaf-peeper tour. Fall foliage in New England is one of nature’s most extraordinary spectacles! Travel some of the most scenic back roads in the Berkshires with your local guide make a stop at Tanglewood and Stockbridge Bowl, a beautiful, scenic lake. The Berkshire Hills are alive with color! Bright reds, oranges and yellows are the back drop for this tour where you will look for the perfect fall foliage color. This tour includes the Berkshire Cottages; the summer homes of Andrew Carnegie, Harley Proctor of Proctor and Gamble, the Vanderbilt’s and others of the American Aristocracy. You will also tour Stockbridge, the picture postcard town where Norman Rockwell lived and worked, as well as Tanglewood the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. and the Norman Rockwell Museum.
2:30 PM Depart for home with a dinner stop en route "on own".
9:00 PM Approximate return to Harrisburg
