Enjoy breakfast at the resort before packing up and departing for a day full of Alaskan history! We’ll begin the day on the Chena River! Your three-hour tour will take you into the heart of Alaska and introduce you to a family who has made the rivers of Alaska home over five generations. You’ll get to experience a bush pilot demonstration, visit a native village and learn their way of life, and visit the home and kennel of the late four-time Iditarod champion Susan Butcher! Keep your cameras ready for all the excitement! Afterwards, enjoy a family-style meal and eat your fill of the hearty miner's beef stew, rustic roasted vegetables, a kale apple pecan salad, sourdough rolls and, for dessert, a German chocolate brownie. The day has only begun! Next, we’ll make our way to the Pipeline Viewing Area to get an up-close look at one of the world's engineering marvels. Here your guide will give you an overview of the Pipeline history and have time to look around and take pictures. Next up...did you know the North Pole is in Alaska?! We’re making our way to Santa Claus’ House for free time to visit his shop, have a chance to see his reindeer, and maybe even meet the big man himself! Relax as we make our way to Denali National Park where we’ll be staying the next 2 nights. Dinner will be included tonight at the resort.
